The story of this Studio began long before we started using it as an actual recording studio. Back in 2015, @ccmaxigross found an ancient house from the year 1100 A.D. for rent — tucked away in a surprisingly quiet and secluded courtyard that felt like the countryside, even though it was just a ten-minute walk from the Arena, in Veronetta.
Since then, many housemates have come and gone — first among them the @jennypennyfull crew and uncle Miles Cooper Seaton. We started hosting concerts, rehearsals, and artist residencies, and before we even realized it, we were recording albums (the first official one being Deserto by C+C, in 2018), all in the most natural way possible, hidden away on a little side street off Via Carducci.
The next step came quickly: in the apocalyptic year 2020, with the arrival of @duckchagall — co-founder of CC and now Resident Producer — Studio Tega officially took off, together with @tobjah from CC, who remains a collaborating producer whenever he’s not lost somewhere in Sardinia.
After these three long years, only now do we look back in disbelief and gratitude at the incredible artists and projects that chose to “pull the Tega” with us here at Studio Tega. Truly, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Now it’s time to get back to work, because the Tega is a fire that must be kept burning… Never stop the Tega.
